The Frederick C. Robie House is located in Chicago, IL and was completed in 1909. It is owned by the University of Chicago and operated by the Frank Lloyd Wright Preservation Trust. The house is a National Historic Landmark and is currently under restoration. The window design canít be compared to a design from nature as some windows. The angles in the windows do emulate the roof pitches. This is common on Wright houses. The glass in the living room is obviously amber; but you have to look close to see that there are both amber cathedral and amber opal. Two widths of copper plated flat zinc came are used in the design.
